Current research projects:

  • Zones of Educational Priority (ZEP) (2010-2014).  Action 2.1-3: «Applied Linguistics in primary education: Acquisition of 1st reading and writing». Funded by the Greek Ministry of Education and the European Union.
  • Kallipos (Greek Academic books) (2014-2015). Participation in the editorial board for the development of academic e-book titled «Θέματα συγχρονικής και διαχρονικής γλωσσολογίας» [Subjects on synchronic and diachronic linguistics]. Funded by the Greek Ministry of Education and the European Union.
  •  Kapodistrias (2008-2009)

«Investigating reading and writing skills in primary education». Funded by the Special Account of Research, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens

Academic activities

  • Member of scientific committee of congresses (e.g. International Congress of Greek Dialectology, Academy of Athens, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Greek Congress of Education Sciences, Faculty of Primary Education, UoA)
  • Workshops organization for teachers and philologists with regard to the language teaching in the transition from the primary to the high school
  • Evaluation board member  of Greek Ministry of Education for the choice of school directors and school adviser
